Train – TGM
The train is around a 12 minute walk from Dar Corniche La Marsa. It serves La Marsa – Tunis, stopping at all stations in the northern suburbs of Tunis.
Service : 3:30 AM to 12:30 AM
Trip Time : 45 minutes from La Marsa to Tunis
Fees : around 1.000 TND (0.30 €)
Taxis
Compared to Western cities, taxis in Tunisia are very cheap. Outside office hours, it is very easy to find one.
Fees: at starting 0.500 TND (0.15 €) and 1.000 TND (0.30 €) per kilometer, between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM fees are increased by 50%.
Maximum Passengers : 4 including the driver. A red light behind the windshield means the taxi is free. A green light, means the taxi is occupied. If the sign on top of the taxi’s roof is absent, it means that the taxi is unavailable.
Note : Taxis are limited to the city where you took them. For a city-to-city trip, you will need to rent a car, take a bus, train or intercity taxi (called a “Louage”).
Dar Corniche La Marsa recommends you install dedicated applications for taxis on your smartphone – see links below.
